You know the one. The countdown is on, the library is filling up, and suddenly everyone\u2019s talking about revision and exams. We\u2019ve <em>all<\/em> been there, and while exams aren\u2019t exactly anyone\u2019s favourite, they\u2019re also your chance to show off everything you\u2019ve learned this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Take a breath. You\u2019ve got this \u2014 and support is available right here in the library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Revision, but make it work for you<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s no \u201cone-size-fits-all\u201d when it comes to revising. Some people swear by colour-coded notes and flash cards, others need background music, and some just want total silence and a strong coffee. The good news? If you need quiet focus time, the Hugh Owen Library,and the <strong>Physical Sciences Library<\/strong> on campus, as well as <strong>The Workstation<\/strong> in town have plenty of quiet study spaces designed for revision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/library\/libraries\/hughowen\/#study-spaces\"><strong>Hugh Owen Library: different Study Spaces and information<\/strong><\/a><ul><li>Prefer to revise on your own? The Library\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/library\/libraries\/carrels\/\"><strong>individual study carrels<\/strong><\/a> are a great choice. Designed for focused, independent study, they give you the space to concentrate, work through your notes, and tackle revision at your own pace. During the exam and revision period, all floors of the Hugh Owen Library are open 24\/7 so you can dip into a book, double\u2011check a reference, or squeeze in some last\u2011minute revision whenever motivation strikes. And if you\u2019re studying after core hours and fancy revising at 2am, just make sure you\u2019ve got your Aber Card to get in and out of the Hugh Owen Library.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Exams are challenging &#8211; there\u2019s no denying it &#8211; but when you step back, just remember that they are just one part of your university journey. Be kind to yourself, take breaks, eat actual meals (not just snacks), and get some sleep.
