{"id":9260,"date":"2025-06-03T11:45:00","date_gmt":"2025-06-03T10:45:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/?p=9260"},"modified":"2025-06-03T11:58:19","modified_gmt":"2025-06-03T10:58:19","slug":"course-creation-2025-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/2025\/06\/03\/course-creation-2025-26\/","title":{"rendered":"Course Creation\u00a02025-26"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>All courses for 2025-26 have been created and are available to staff in Blackboard.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s course template will include some new items which we hope will help both staff and students:&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An item about Panopto recording and captions (see our <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/2025\/03\/12\/panopto-automatic-speech-recognition-captioning\/\">caption blog post<\/a> for more information)&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A link to the AberSkills web pages&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Information about AI and Unacceptable Academic Practice&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Putting this information into the course template means that all students see the same information. It also means that staff don\u2019t have to include the information when setting up their courses for the new academic year.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All AU Blackboard course sites use an agreed template with areas for core information along with agreed content for university-level policies. The course template is agreed by the Quality and Standards Committee annually. Module Coordinators have responsibility for the organisation of materials in their courses.
