This was all achieved through an accessible and enthusiastic online learning environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many congratulations to our highly commended and commended recipients:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Law &amp; Criminology\u2019s Dr Kathy Hampson for the course <strong>LC37120: Critical and Radical Criminology<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lifelong Learning\u2019s Henrietta Tremlett for the course <strong>XM15710: Autobiographical Writing<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Computer Science\u2019s Dr Yasir Saleem Shaikh for the course <strong>CSM0120: Programming for Scientists<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>These 3 courses demonstrated some excellent practices, including: clear and accessible structures, effective use of weekly quizzes, engaging and varied activities, clear marking and feedback processes, creative assessment design, and well-designed learning objectives communicated with clarity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The award is assessed based on a rubric across four areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Course Design<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interaction and Collaboration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assessment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learner Support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The courses were of such a high standard, and we look forward to sharing their practices with you in due course.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many congratulations to this year\u2019s well-deserved recipients.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are delighted to announce the winner of this year\u2019s annual Exemplary Course Award.
