Additionally, we highlight the release of AI Conversations in Blackboard and the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/2024\/11\/14\/online-mini-conference-exemplary-blackboard-presence\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/2024\/11\/14\/online-mini-conference-exemplary-blackboard-presence\/\">Online Mini Conference on 18 December.<\/a>\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Discussion Enhancement: New Post Indicator&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Related Blackboard Topic:\u202f<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/help.blackboard.com\/Learn\/Instructor\/Ultra\/Interact\/Discussions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Discussions&nbsp;<\/em><\/a>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Blackboard have added a &#8220;New&#8221; indicator that displays next to posts and replies that a user has not yet accessed. This helps direct engagement by making new discussion activity easier to find and access.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Image 1. Blackboard&nbsp;also updated the wording from <strong>Submitted late &lt;date&gt;<\/strong> to <strong>Submitted &lt;date&gt;<\/strong>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Also of note this month:&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We released the <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/2024\/11\/26\/new-ai-conversations-in-blackboard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AI Conversations in Blackboard<\/a> which is a chat bot for students to interact with and test their knowledge as part of a learning activity which Instructors can give a persona. It uses both Socratic questioning and role play.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We will be showcasing AI Conversations and Exemplary Blackboard Practice at our forthcoming <a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/2024\/11\/14\/online-mini-conference-exemplary-blackboard-presence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Online Mini Conference on 18 December<\/a>.
