{"id":8553,"date":"2024-11-07T14:56:28","date_gmt":"2024-11-07T14:56:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/?p=8553"},"modified":"2024-11-07T15:00:15","modified_gmt":"2024-11-07T15:00:15","slug":"exemplary-course-award-2024-25","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/2024\/11\/07\/exemplary-course-award-2024-25\/","title":{"rendered":"Exemplary Course Award 2024-25"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"529\" height=\"195\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/files\/2024\/11\/image.png\" alt=\"ECA logo: Exemplary Course Award with the four criteria showing in a circle:\nCourse design\nInteraction and Collaboration\nAssessment\nLearner Support\" class=\"wp-image-8554\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>We are delighted to announce that the Exemplary Course Award for 2024-25 is now open.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ECA is judged across 4 categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Course Design<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interaction and Collaboration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assessment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learner Support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants are asked to introduce 3 standout practices for their Course to help frame their application before self-assessing their course \u2013 this can be a 1,000 word narrative or an 8-minute Panopto recording.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the self-assessment, the courses are assessed by a panel of experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The changes to this year\u2019s form include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The addition of 1.13 criteria: a Blackboard Ally score of 85% or more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The ability to request reports on your course (Student Engagement and Course Summary). These reports can be requested from the Digital Education Group (<a href=\"mailto:elearning@aber.ac.uk\">elearning@aber.ac.uk<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>To help prepare for applications, two workshops are being run by the Digital Education Group on: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>14 January 2025, 14:10-15:30<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>20 January 2025, 10:10-11:30<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Places can be booked via the <a href=\"https:\/\/myadmin.aber.ac.uk\/othl\/f?p=168:39:15168209646938:::::\">online booking page.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Application forms can be downloaded from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/media\/departmental\/informationservices\/e-learning\/AU-Exemplary-Course-Award-2025.docx\">Digital Education Group\u2019s webpages<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Completed applications need to be emailed to <a href=\"mailto:elearning@aber.ac.uk\">elearning@aber.ac.uk<\/a> before 12 noon on Friday 31 January 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any questions about this process, please contact the Digital Education Group (<a href=\"mailto:elearning@aber.ac.uk\">elearning@aber.ac.uk<\/a>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are delighted to announce that the Exemplary Course Award for 2024-25 is now open.
