The ECA is judged across 4 categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Course Design<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interaction and Collaboration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assessment<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Learner Support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants are asked to introduce 3 standout practices for their Course to help frame their application before self-assessing their course \u2013 this can be a 1,000 word narrative or an 8-minute Panopto recording. Following the self-assessment, the courses are also marked by a panel of experts. Complementing the move to Ultra, we have updated our ECA form. Changes include fewer criteria and an increased wordcount for the narratives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help prepare for applications, two workshops are being run by the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Unit on:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>12 January 2024, 10:00-11:30<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>22 January 2024, 14:00-15:30<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Places can be booked via the <a href=\"https:\/\/blackboard.aber.ac.uk\/ultra\/courses\/_47804_1\/outline\">online booking page.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Application forms can be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/media\/departmental\/informationservices\/e-learning\/AU-Exemplary-Course-Award-2024en.docx\">downloaded from the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Unit\u2019s webpages<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Completed applications need to be emailed to <a href=\"mailto:elearning@aber.ac.uk\">elearning@aber.ac.uk<\/a> before 12 noon on Friday 2 February 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have any questions about this process, please contact the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Unit (<a href=\"mailto:elearning@aber.ac.uk\">elearning@aber.ac.uk<\/a>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce that applications for this year\u2019s Exemplary Course Award are now open.
