With our move to Blackboard Learn Ultra, any materials copied from previous years\u2019 courses are hidden from students by default.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"482\" height=\"127\" src=\"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/files\/2023\/09\/image-1.png\" alt=\"Screenshot of hidden content\" class=\"wp-image-6695\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/files\/2023\/09\/image-1.png 482w, https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/files\/2023\/09\/image-1-300x79.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 482px) 100vw, 482px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You can change the visibility of individual items (see Blackboard help site for <a href=\"https:\/\/help.blackboard.com\/Learn\/Instructor\/Ultra\/Course_Content\/Create_Content\/Edit_and_Manage_Content#ultra_availability\">making items available<\/a>). You can make them visible immediately or use the Release Conditions (date\/time, specific students \/ groups, student performance &#8211; see Blackboard help site for <a href=\"https:\/\/help.blackboard.com\/Learn\/Instructor\/Ultra\/Course_Content\/Release_Content\">Release Content<\/a> guidance for further information).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have a lot of hidden material, don\u2019t forget that you can use the Batch Edit tool to make multiple items of content visible all at once (see Blackboard help site for using <a href=\"https:\/\/help.blackboard.com\/Learn\/Instructor\/Ultra\/Course_Content\/Ultra_Batch_Edit\">Batch Edit<\/a>). <strong>Be careful not to make the External Examiners folder available.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you use Batch Edit to make a folder visible it will also make all the content items in the folder visible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember that you can use the Student Preview tool (see Blackboard help site for using <a href=\"https:\/\/help.blackboard.com\/Learn\/Instructor\/Ultra\/Courses\/Student_Preview\">Student Preview<\/a>) to see how your course and content looks to students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/is\/it-services\/elearning\/blackboard\/ultra\/\">Ultra webpage<\/a> for further support materials or contact the Learning and Teaching Enhancement Unit (<a href=\"mailto:elearning@aber.ac.uk\">elearning@aber.ac.uk<\/a>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Now is a good time to check whether the content in this year\u2019s Blackboard courses is visible to students.
