The Mini Conference is a smaller version of ou<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/is\/it-services\/elearning\/networks-and-events\/theannuallearningandteachingconference\/\">r Annual Learning and Teaching Conference<\/a> which allows us to pull together a series of presentations and workshops around a particular learning and teaching topic. This year the Mini Conference has the theme of <em>Inclusive Education<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re excited to confirm our programme for the afternoon:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/widening-participation\/aboutus\/staff\/\">Debra Croft<\/a> (CWPSI) \u2013 <em>Making \u2018Core Skills\u2019 Exciting and Accessible<\/em><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/student-support\/\">Janet Roland and Caroline White<\/a> (Student Support Services):&nbsp;<em>Neurodiversity and Inclusive Practice<\/em><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/modernlangs\/staff-profiles\/listing\/profile\/jiw17\/\">Jennifer Wood<\/a> (Modern Languages): <em>Using Blackboard tests in Language Assessment: A Learning Curve<\/em><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/contact-us\/directory\/staff\/profile\/mhj\/\">Mary Jacob<\/a> (CDSAP) and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/english\/study-with-us\/postgraduate\/graduates-doing\/nicky-cashman\/\">Nicky Cashman<\/a> (Student Support Services): <em>Creating Inclusive and Accessible Documents for Blackboard and Web<\/em><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/ibers\/staff-profiles\/listing\/profile\/nnm08\/\">Neil MacKintosh<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/ibers\/staff-profiles\/listing\/profile\/mer40\/\">Meirion Roberts<\/a> (IBERS): <em>Widening access to IBERS Distance Learning Schemes<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These presentations will offer a series of practical tips and tricks that will help make your learning environments and documents more inclusive. In addition to this, we\u2019ll be looking at how these strategies might be used in practice and within a teaching context.<\/p>\n<p>We hope that you\u2019ll be able to join us for this event.
