{"id":3059,"date":"2021-05-24T10:55:41","date_gmt":"2021-05-24T09:55:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/?p=3059"},"modified":"2021-05-24T10:59:14","modified_gmt":"2021-05-24T09:59:14","slug":"full-programme-aberystwyth-universitys-learning-and-teaching-conference-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/2021\/05\/24\/full-programme-aberystwyth-universitys-learning-and-teaching-conference-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"Full programme: Aberystwyth University\u2019s Learning and Teaching Conference 2021"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>We are&nbsp;looking forward to welcoming you to the 9<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;Annual Learning and Teaching Conference, which is just over a month away,&nbsp;<strong>29<sup>th<\/sup>&nbsp;June \u2013 2<sup>nd<\/sup>&nbsp;July 2021<\/strong>.&nbsp;This year\u2019s conference theme,\u202f<strong><em>Improvisation within Constraint: Reshaping a Learning Community in a Time of Change<\/em><\/strong> aims to reflect the commitment that AU staff&nbsp;have to&nbsp;enhance&nbsp;the student learning experience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re pleased to confirm&nbsp;our&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/is\/it-services\/elearning\/networks-and-events\/networks-and-events-learning-teaching-conference\/conferencetimetable\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">full programme.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You&nbsp;can&nbsp;register for the conference by&nbsp;completing this&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/aber.onlinesurveys.ac.uk\/aultc2021\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">online form<\/a>.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re&nbsp;very&nbsp;excited to welcome&nbsp;four external speakers this year:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>This year\u2019s keynote speaker is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/2021\/04\/29\/keynote-announcement-annual-learning-and-teaching-conference\/#more-2567\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Dr&nbsp;Chrissi&nbsp;Nerantzi<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;who is Principal Lecturer \u2013 Academic CPD, University Teaching Academy (UTA), Manchester Metropolitan&nbsp;University.&nbsp;Dr&nbsp;Nerantzi&nbsp;will focus on&nbsp;open and flexible pedagogies.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Our second external speaker,&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/2021\/05\/05\/annual-learning-and-teaching-conference-second-guest-speaker-andy-mcgregor-jisc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Andy McGregor<\/strong><\/a>,&nbsp;who is Director of&nbsp;edtech&nbsp;for JISC,&nbsp;will be delivering a workshop focusing on&nbsp;the future of assessments.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Our third external speaker is&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cardiffmet.ac.uk\/education\/staff\/Pages\/DyddguHywel.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Dr Dyddgu&nbsp;Hywel<\/strong><\/a>,&nbsp;Senior Lecturer in Education at Cardiff Metropolitan,&nbsp;will be delivering an interactive presentation on prioritising student and staff well-being.&nbsp;(<em>Dr&nbsp;Hywel\u2019s presentation will be delivered through the medium of&nbsp;Welsh&nbsp;and we will be offering simultaneous translation.)<\/em>&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><li>Our final external speaker,&nbsp;<strong>Joe Probert,&nbsp;<\/strong>who is&nbsp;Customer Success Manager at&nbsp;Vevox, will&nbsp;deliver&nbsp;a session on how to make effective use of polling to&nbsp;engage&nbsp;learners.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We have an exciting and varied programme this year from representatives from all faculties.
