{"id":10770,"date":"2026-11-03T11:25:22","date_gmt":"2026-11-03T11:25:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/?p=10770"},"modified":"2026-11-03T11:25:24","modified_gmt":"2026-11-03T11:25:24","slug":"generative-ai-assessment-good-practice-event-programme-announcement","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/2026\/11\/03\/generative-ai-assessment-good-practice-event-programme-announcement\/","title":{"rendered":"Generative AI Assessment Good Practice Event: Programme Announcement"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are delighted to confirm our programme for the Generative AI Assessment Good Practice Event that will be taking place on Wednesday 25 November.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event will be held between 13:15 and 17:00 in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/timetable\/zones\/penglais\/visualisation-centre\/\">Visualisation Centre building<\/a> on the Penglais campus \u2013 with presentations taking place in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/visitors\/alternativeconferencevenues\/#t-trafod\">T\u0177 Trafod<\/a>, as well as VC rooms <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/timetable\/zones\/penglais\/visualisation-centre\/0.03\/\">0.03<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/timetable\/zones\/penglais\/visualisation-centre\/0.06\/\">VC 0.06<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">An exciting line up of presenters from across the university will be joining us for the event. In the first round of presentations, we will be hearing from:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Daniel Bryant from the Digital Education Team within Library, Academic and Digital Services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bernie Tiddeman and Christine Zarges from the Department of Computer Science.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rhys Dafydd Jones, Emma Butler-Way, Tom Holt from the Department of Geography and Earth Sciences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Academics from across the university will then present more areas of good practice relating to generative AI and assessments. The other speakers that we have lined up are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Miguel Hernandez from the Department of History &amp; Welsh History.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Louise Chennel from the School of Art.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lauren Harvey from Department of Law &amp; Criminology.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cennydd Jones and Hazel Davey from the Department of Life Sciences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Daniel Peck from the Department of Mathematics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Jamie Harris from the Department of English &amp; Creative Writing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Steve Atherton from the School of Education.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alex Mangold from the Department of Modern Languages.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The full programme and abstracts will be announced on the university webpage soon.
