{"id":10495,"date":"2026-08-19T16:55:18","date_gmt":"2026-08-19T15:55:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/?p=10495"},"modified":"2026-08-19T16:55:20","modified_gmt":"2026-08-19T15:55:20","slug":"annual-education-and-student-experience-conference-stands-at-this-years-conference","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/2026\/08\/19\/annual-education-and-student-experience-conference-stands-at-this-years-conference\/","title":{"rendered":"Annual Education and Student Experience Conference: Stands at this year\u2019s conference"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1925\" height=\"496\" src=\"http:\/\/wordpress.aber.ac.uk\/e-learning\/files\/2025\/06\/Events-Banner.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-9440\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We\u2019re delighted to welcome several stands across our in-person days at this year\u2019s Annual Education and Student Experience Conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All stands will be in the Think Tank on Wednesday 9 September and Thursday 10 September.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">AberSkills<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Library Academic and Digital Services\u2019 Non Jones will be hosting a stand to showcase the latest news from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aber.ac.uk\/en\/aberskills\/\">AberSkills<\/a>, the home of skills development at Aberystwyth University. &nbsp;We\u2019ve got some sessions as part of the conference focusing on Skills \u2013 Jim Dickinson from WONKHE and Trish McGrath from UndebAber will be leading a session, and Joy Cadwallader and Keziah Garratt-Smithson will be launching the Digital Discovery Tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Education and Student Experience Award Recipients<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Recipients of last year\u2019s Education and Student Experience Awards will be staffing stands so that delegates can hear all about the projects:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Aber Medieval Physic Garden<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Developing a Sustainable Student Gear Hub<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Inclusivity and Accessibility in Assessment Design and Feedback Practices<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pulling together\u2013 supporting teamwork assessment more effectively<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">RLF Writing Stand<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 September, we are delighted to welcome Samanthan Wynne-Rhydderch who will be hosting a stand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Samantha is the Royal Literary Fellow here at Aberystwyth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The RLF Fellowship scheme for writers was launched in autumn 1999 and is based in UK universities. About 750 writers work as Fellows at over 100 different institutions. The principal aim of the Fellow&#8217;s work is to foster good writing practice across all disciplines and media by showing students how to write with clarity and flow.
