This includes an overhaul of the Gradebook. Please see below for further information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The monthly August Blackboard release has a new user interface for the Gradebook.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Given the nature of this update, we have a separate blogpost dedicated to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you have any questions about the updated Gradebook or grading, please contact the Digital Education Team (<a href=\"mailto:elearning@aber.ac.uk\">elearning@aber.ac.uk<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every course has the Gradebook, which is used to manage all aspects of the administration of marks. It can be accessed via the top menu of Blackboard courses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As part of this update, the following processes are <strong>not <\/strong>changing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Grades, calculations, and overall grade configuration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Grade schemas and grading settings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Course-level accommodations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The List View<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>All existing grades and submission history<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The component marks transfer process also remains unchanged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Change 1: Default view<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The default view of the Gradebook is now the grid view<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can swap between the grid view and the list view by clicking between class=\"wp-block-heading\">Change 2: To do list<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Gradebook Overview is now called the To Do List which is available in grid and list class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From here, you can see what work there is to mark and post:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img be posted in order to be included in the marks transfer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Change 3: Entering Grades<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ways to enter grades into columns has changed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click on the pencil icon to change and enter the grade:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you want to mark and leave feedback on all Blackboard marked items, click on this icon:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-heading\">Change 4: Updating and editing columns<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Editing columns now take place via the list view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure alt=\"screenshot of how to edit a column being the list view\" class=\"wp-image-10420\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Change 5: Filtering by merged module<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is possible to filter the gradebook using Merged Modules so that you only see the information for students on the relevant modules.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click the filter button highlighted below and choose from the dropdown for merged courses:<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter class=\"wp-image-10421\" \/><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Change 6: File upload and download gradebook<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The functionality for downloading and uploading to the gradebook has moved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click on the settings cog:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure alt=\"Settings cog highlighted\" class=\"wp-image-10423\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Choose Download marks or Upload marks depending on what you want to do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Change 7: Checking the visibility of a column<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The visibility status of columns can no longer be seen in the grid view.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To check the visibility of the column, navigate to the list view:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\"
