The Centre for Widening Participation and Social Inclusion is looking for a wide range of students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, to work on projects each year as Student Leaders.
The idea is that these Student Leaders will act as role models and mentors, assisting and supporting School-aged young people, or to help support tutors in the community.
If you wish to pursue an interest or even a career in; teaching, youth or social work, or just to explore this programme, then it can be invaluable in terms of the skills you learn and experiences that you will have as a Student Leader.

Dash is a registered charity which organises a variety of leisure schemes for disabled children and young people in Ceredigion. Volunteers are a valuable asset to DASH and you could be involved in any number of activities, from horse-riding, to farm trips, to Frendz – a “mobile” youth club, or their UNO project – helping young people [14-25] with their transition to adulthood. This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved and enhance your employability skills.

Nightline is always looking for volunteers. We welcome all students regardless of course or year. No experience is needed as we run training programmes throughout the year. If you think that you would like to be a part of Aberystwyth Nightline then we would love to hear from you.
Volunteering for Nightline is also recognised by the university and will be included on your Higher Education Achievement Report, this will look good when it comes to updating your CV.

Hafan y Waun nursing home provides care for 90 individuals along with having an adjoining day care and resource centre for people with dementia. Volunteering at Hafan y Waun would provide great experience and act as a stepping stone for those interested in furthering a career with vulnerable people after university.
